Newt Gingrich Visits Pepsi Plant

The down, but-not-yet-counting-himself-out, presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, remains on the campaign trail.
Today he is visiting a Pepsi plant in Bern, NC where he tweets - "This is an original bottle of Pepsi."

He also tweeted a picture of him visiting with John Johnson, owner of Hamlin Drug Co, the oldest African American owned pharmacy in America.
We're guessing this is his last ditch effort to gain voter support from the African American community, as he continues to trail substantially behind Mitt Romney.
Note to Gingrich:  It probably won't work.

**Just in** Presidential candidate Rick Santorum is expected to bow out of the presidential race today, sighting his daughter's illness as the primary factor.
Gingrich has not officially conceded to Mitt Romney, the likely Republican presidential candidate, but has suggested that his party rally behind Romney to defeat President Obama in the 2012 election.

President Obama spoke at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton today for an official event on the economy, where he made the case for the Buffett Rule. The Buffet Rule, per the White House, is a simple principle for fairness that ensures that millionaires pay at least the same effective tax rate as middle class families pay.

"The President believes in standing up for the middle class and making our tax system fairer, where everyone plays by the same set of rules, in order to ensure the economic security of the middle class."

We're guessing whether poor, middle class, or rich - all sides enjoy a tall glass of Pepsi - and pay around the same amount of tax when purchasing the mentioned product.

Drugs Pharmaceuticals, relative to the three classes, however, is a whole other story for another day.

President Biden discusses America's economy during July 4th address to military families.

"Our Economy is the strongest in the world."  " . ..  Our economy is growing, but not without pain.  Liberty is under assault -- assault both here and abroad.  In recent days, there's been reason to think that this country is moving backward, that  freedom  is being reduced, that rights we assumed were protected are no longer.  A reminder that we remain in an ongoing battle for the soul of America, as we have for over 200 years.  4th of July photo courtesy of - the Internet. I know it can be exhausting and unsettling.  But tonight, I want you to know we're going to get through all of this -- for all that we have faced, that we are going to get through this, and look how far we've come.    We're reclaiming our way of life in a pandemic.  Vaccines are nearly available to every American, restrictions lifted, the Fourth of July together again at the White House.    And for all the challenges, America has the strongest economy in the world.  More people are wo
