Secretary Madeline Albright's National Cathedral Memorial Service

Hundreds of friends, colleagues attend. (Washington- April 27, 2022) Secretary Madeleine Korbel Albright was a decades-long friend to the Washington National Cathedral and its affiliated schools.  She chaired the board of the Beauvoir School in the 1970s, all three of her daughters attended Beauvoir and graduated from the National Cathedral School, and at the time of her death she was a member of the Cathedral Chapter (the institution’s governing board). More than 1,400 people attended the service including current and former U.S. government officials, U.S. Presidents, Secretaries of State, Foreign Ministers, Ambassadors and State Department colleagues at all levels of the government; a large bipartisan Congressional delegation and colleagues from all aspects of her life and career as well as family and friends. President Obama visits Biden White House for jabs, jokes and just healthcare.

President Obama's White House homecoming had comedy, acquaintances, and talk of  The Affordable Care Act (ACA) which, twelve years ago, his administration passed with enough bipartisan support to become the 'most consequential' U.S. healthcare legislation in generations. His return (aside from jokingly calling President Biden, Vice President) had more to do with appealing to Congress to lower health insurance premiums and extend the ACA. "And today, today, the Biden-Harris administration is going even further by moving to fix a glitch in the regulations that will lower premiums for nearly 1 million people who need it and allow 200,000 more uninsured Americans get access to coverage", said Obama. March jobs report

Maintaining that the American Rescue Plan is working, the White House issued a statement on the March jobs report. Over 430,000 new jobs were recreated, according to the report. "Nice sound to it", the president said. The president stated that the months of January and February of this year created more jobs than originally thought. "That means that over the last three months the economy has created more than 500,000 jobs a month", he said. It is also worth noting that more people are heading back to work as a result of COVID-19 vaccinations. Many Americans lost their jobs because of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. In March, unemployment fell to 3.6 percent, down from 6.4 percent.

The President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition (PCSFN) is a federal advisory committee that aims to promote healthy, accessible eating and physical activity for all Americans, regardless of background or ability. President Biden issues Executive Order 14048, renewing the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition.
