Help has arrived vs. Help is on the way.

On Friday, the president and vice president held a rose garden event where the theme was to inform Americans that 'help is on the way'.  It is expected that stimulus checks will soon hit the bank accounts of Americans soon. House Majority  Leader Chuck Schumer said payments should arrive within weeks, while the president said payments may be in bank accounts by the weekend. (Certainly, Americans would prefer 'this weekend' rather than weeks.) Vice President Kamala Harris, also remarking during the ceremony, said  help has arrived . While praising the president for his leadership Harris said, "You had faith that Americans would support this plan."  Calling the plan 'concrete and tangible',  Harris said, "Americans will see what we did here and will feel the impact of this plan." President Biden’s American Rescue Plan

It's a big ef**ng deal   Just as the Affordable Care Act was a ‘ big ef***ng dea l’ eleven years ago, March, 2010, President Joe Biden has just made a big deal of his own.  Biden’s American Rescue Plan legislation passed in the Senate on Wednesday. Biden is expected to sign his plan into law Thursday, at 1:30 p.m., instead of Friday as initially reported.  Photo credit: Olivier/WAPO The $1.9 trillion bill is expected to include extended unemployment benefits of $300 per week (through September, 2021), a one-time $1,400 stimulus payment and hundreds of dollars to families with children. This economic stimulus would also ensure millions more Americans can get Coronavirus vaccines, small business could stay afloat, and fund America’s crumbling infrastructure.
