Help has arrived vs. Help is on the way.

On Friday, the president and vice president held a rose garden event where the theme was to inform Americans that 'help is on the way'.

It is expected that stimulus checks will soon hit the bank accounts of Americans soon.

House Majority  Leader Chuck Schumer said payments should arrive within weeks, while the president said payments may be in bank accounts by the weekend. (Certainly, Americans would prefer 'this weekend' rather than weeks.)

Vice President Kamala Harris, also remarking during the ceremony, said help has arrived. While praising the president for his leadership Harris said, "You had faith that Americans would support this plan."

Calling the plan 'concrete and tangible',  Harris said, "Americans will see what we did here and will feel the impact of this plan."

The president implied that his plan is one that will help working-class America and said it has been a long time since working-class people have been supported by the government.

"For the first time, in a long time, this bill puts working people first", said Biden.

More COVID-19 help.

Just as he did in Thursday's prime-time address to the nation, the president admonished Americans to "do their part" to help end the pandemic by continuing to wear masks and vaccinate. In a lofty statement Friday, Biden promised every American could have a vaccine by May 1st. Most notably, the president implied that if every American "did their part", the country could be in a better place by July 4th.

"If we all do this, if we do our part, if we do this together, by July the 4th, there's a good chance you, your families, and friends will be able to get together in your backyard or in your neighborhood and have a cookout and a barbeque and celebrate Independence Day", he said.

The president revealed that vaccine company Merck will be partnering with Johnson & Johnson, to manufacture a one-shot vaccine. The current J&J dose is two, administered several weeks apart.

The Biden administration is planning to make stops in various parts of the country to show Americans  that government can "help", "function", and deliver."

Said Biden, "Help is here" and the government "won't stop working for you."

Representatives from the CDC and the NIH were on hand at the White House during Monday's press briefing to update the public and address concerns over the Zika virus that has caused some babies to be born with deformities. Despite those bold statements, the doctors said there is no wide-spread concern and that Americans should continue to travel, including during upcoming college spring breaks --  when college students travel to warmer climate destinations to escape winter weather. "Travel to Zika-affected areas is very common among Americans, and we don’t think that needs to stop...
