President Throws Ceremonial First Pitch

The President threw the ceremonial first pitch today at the Washington Nationals' home opener.

The pitch was a bit high and off the mark to which the president replied, "This is heartbreaking, right here."

President Obama is the 13th president to throw the ceremonial first pitch before a Washington baseball team game opener, and it wasn't just his pitch that went awry.

The Nationals' season opener didn't fare any better and was just as 'heartbreaking' as the team fell to ~~got whooped~~ by the Phillies 11-1.

Representatives from the CDC and the NIH were on hand at the White House during Monday's press briefing to update the public and address concerns over the Zika virus that has caused some babies to be born with deformities. During the president's weekly address he urged Americans to call a toll-free number to get help enrolling in a health care plan as the website continues to be 'improved'. We’ve updated HealthCare.gov to offer more information about enrolling over the phone, by mail, or in person with a specially-trained navigator who can help answer your questions.
