Does Texas have a border 'crisis'?

Fox News reporter, Lawrence Jones, talks to a Texas resident about conditions at the Texas border where migrants continue to pour in from South America and Haiti seeking asylum in the U.S.

Texas resident Alison Anderson voices her concern over migrant trespassing, COVID-19 (and other health issues), border patrol agent job performance and more.

The treatment of Afghans vs the treatment of Haitians.

It was less than a week ago that the world watched as the U.S. offered free plane rides to America for people of Afghanistan after the Taliban took over when U.S. troops departed the country after a twenty-year war stemming from terrorist attacks on several U.S. cities on September 11, 2001.

In contrast, the U.S. has begun flying Haitians back to their native country.

In August U.S. president, Joe Biden, put out a very brief statement pledging that Haiti would have the support of the United States after the country was struck, once again, by a devastating and deadly earthquake.

"Through USAID, we are supporting efforts to assess the damage and assist efforts to recover those who were injured and those who must now rebuild. The United States remains a close and enduring friend to the people of Haiti, and we will be there in the aftermath of this tragedy."

Is this how the Biden administration is 'being there', by deporting hundreds of Haitians back to Haiti citing 'COVID concerns'? Does COVID not exist in Afghanistan?

Analysis: Who gets to come to America.  Who gets to stay in America. Who does not.

  • Afghans - Yes: free plane ride to America, and free Airbnb housing, with "allies and NGOs ready to help".
  • Latinos/South Americans - Yes/maybe: (held in cages, processed, kids taken from families).
  • Haiti - No: rounded up, offered free plane ride back to their native country after earthquake ruins entire cities.
  • Will Ethiopians (ongoing humanitarian crisis) be crossed off the list of those seeking refuge in the U.S. as well?
  • America welcomes refugees from same country that used planes to 'destroy our way of life', but it doesn't matter. America will befriend them; "they're our allies."

In wake of the Zika virus, travel, spring break still O.K.

Representatives from the CDC and the NIH were on hand at the White House during Monday's press briefing to update the public and address concerns over the Zika virus that has caused some babies to be born with deformities. Dr. Anne Schuchat from the Centers for Disease Control and Dr. Tony Fauci from the National Institutes of Health told reporters that a vaccine is in the making.   The pair also said they are particulary concerned about women who are pregnant, or plan to get pregnant, who have either traveled to or plan to travel to areas of South America and the Carribean known to have the Zika virus. Despite those bold statements, the doctors said there is no wide-spread concern and that Americans should continue to travel, including during upcoming college spring breaks --  when college students travel to warmer climate destinations to escape winter weather. "Travel to Zika-affected areas is very common among Americans, and we don’t think that needs to stop...
