After President Obama sent a $97 million bill to BP last week (the fourth the Administration has sent to date. BP and other responsible parties have paid the first three bills, totaling $122.3 million, in full, the White House reports) reports show BP is working harder to stop the leak in the Gulf.
The latest effort, installation of a capping stack is still being monitored. This well integrity test will last at least 6 hours and could last up to 48 hours.
How It Works
During the test, the three ram capping stack is closed, effectively shutting in the well and all sub-sea containment systems (namely, the Q4000 and Helix Producer systems) have been temporarily stopped. Although it cannot be assured, it is expected that no oil will be released to the ocean during the test. Even if no oil is released during the test, this will not be an indication that oil and gas flow from the wellbore has been permanently stopped.

Prayer And Chelsea Clinton's Marriage Good For Victims of BP Oil Spill?
Prayer And Chelsea Clinton's Marriage Good For Victims of BP Oil Spill?
Protesters outside the White House on Tuesday were anything but shy when talking about the BP Oil Spill. We heard everything from a guy relaying to President Obama - via song - the old Negro Spiritual "Study War No More" to another group of protesters who thinks Chelsea Clinton should ask her guests to bring gifts for the victims of the BP Oil Spill instead of traditional wedding gifts.
"I want to see the people in the Gulf, many who are Black, get justice", said activist Rocky Twyman, member of Concerned Citizens Around The World . "As long as we have a war going on we're not really going to fully help these people."

"We're down here today to ask Clinton's daughter to use her wedding to help these people, because she doesn't need anything. They could bring checks to the wedding rather than gifts to her."
It is reported that both President Obama and Oprah Winfrey are scheduled to attend the Clinton affair.
"She and her husband don't need a thing", continued Twyman. "These people [in the Gulf] are really suffering. Plus, it would make a good example for other people who are planning things this summer. We helped Haiti, why can't we help our own Americans?"

Twyman, a member of the Seventh Day Adventist faith, has led activists in other protests and truly believes prayer changes things. During the gas crisis Twyman and friends led prayer marches in different areas of the country asking God to bring the gas prices down. "Wherever we went the prices came down", said Twyman.
He thinks President Obama should also engage in prayer to help end the raging surge of oil into the Gulf of Mexico.
"Everything is failing around him", said Twyman. "He needs God. We're asking that he would open up these sessions with BP and these big executives with prayer, because prayer is the answer to everything in life."
Twyman is also on board with President Obama when it comes to finding other sources of energy.
"Look what happened down there with that oil spill. We got to get to electric cars, really."
Twyman and friends plan to visit several beaches in the area this summer to pray, and invite all to join them via their website GodStopTheOilSpillNow, and also encourages everyone to pray each day at twelve noon.
"All we need is a big hurricane and that oil is going to come right up here to our area."
We asked Twyman what he would say to President Obama if he got the chance to do so.
Since our interview with Twyman, BP is reporting that "the well integrity test on the MC252 well commenced today; full closure of the choke valve occurred at approximately 2:25pm. Currently the well remains shut-in with no oil flowing into the Gulf; any significant change to this operation will be announced via a press release."
