Government job loss under the Trump administration, since 2016. Are you at risk in 2025?

Under President Trump's first term in office, America experienced job declines. Data from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) suggests that the total number of federal employees decreased by approximately 1.3% from 2016 to 2020, resulting in a loss of approximately 18,000 government positions. March jobs report

Maintaining that the American Rescue Plan is working, the White House issued a statement on the March jobs report. Over 430,000 new jobs were recreated, according to the report. "Nice sound to it", the president said. The president stated that the months of January and February of this year created more jobs than originally thought. "That means that over the last three months the economy has created more than 500,000 jobs a month", he said. It is also worth noting that more people are heading back to work as a result of COVID-19 vaccinations. Many Americans lost their jobs because of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. In March, unemployment fell to 3.6 percent, down from 6.4 percent.
