How The White House Is Dealing With the Trump Win

The individual who made it his business to insult Muslims, African Americans,  women , the  disabled , his running mates, stated that he could stand  in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot someone , and has shown an affinity for Russian president  Vladmir Putin  (and Wikileaks) has convinced Americans that he is the better choice to be president of the United States of America. Hillary Clinton: "I accept your nomination for president of the United States!"

Hillary Clinton accepted the nomination for president of the United States Thursday during the final day of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. She was introduced by her daughter Chelsea who lauded her mother as the "best mom and grandma", and the best choice for president. During her acceptance speech Hillary made the case, to a jammed-packed Wells Fargo Center audience, for why she would be the better choice as president of the United States - over her rival Donald Trump. "My primary mission as president will be to create more opportunity and more good jobs with rising wages right here in the United States", said Clinton. "From my first day in office to my last. Especially in places that for too long have been left out and left behind. From our inner cities to our small towns, Indian Country to Coal Country. From the industrial Midwest to the Mississippi Delta to the Rio Grande Valley." Her remarks were met with mixed opin...

A full-out effort to elect the next U.S. president.

From one convention to the next, amid claims and allegations of plagiarism , lies  and improprieties , U.S. presidential nominees bring their speeches, party members to convince Americans their party is better to hold the highest political office. "I'm more optimistic about the future of America than ever before", said President Obama Wednesday night during the Democratic National Convention where he lauded the record of presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. " And for four years, I had a front-row seat to her intelligence, her judgment, and her discipline.  I came to realize that her unbelievable work ethic wasn’t for praise or attention – that she was in this for everyone who needs a champion.  I understood that after all these years, she has never forgotten just who she’s fighting for." While Clinton made a surprise appearance on stage after the president's remarks, she will formally accept the Democratic nomination Thursday night during the final ev...

Malia to Harvard; POTUS mic drops

Two items that made the news a bit worthwhile over the weekend. Malia Obama, 17, will be going to Harvard according to a statement from the Office of the First Lady, following in the footsteps of her parents. The press release also states that, "Malia will take a gap year before beginning school." The Obamas are both Harvard law school graduates; the first lady in 1988, the president in 1991. Read : Harvard and slavery . America has watched the Obama girls, Malia Ann and her sister Natasha (Sasha), grow up in the White House since they were the wee ages of 9 and 6, and look at them now.  The Obama girls, whenever they're asked, 'So, where did you grow up, can say 'I grew up in the White House.' Both young ladies made Makers.com's 31 Most Influential Women under 30  back in March. The girls have been scrutinized by more than a few mean people since they graced the White House with their presence; however, despite what these mean people say  th...

Who's That Girl?

Starbucks customer favors U.S. Congresswoman If you didn't know any better, one might say this lovely lady pictured below looks a lot like former Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle 'Gabby' Giffords . Giffords represented Arizona's 8th congressional district from 2007 until her resignation on January 25, 2012, after having survived an attack on her life when she was shot in a mall parking lot while speaking to a group of her constituents. We spotted the Giffords look-a-like (including the eyeglasses) while she was having coffee in a university Starbucks and immediately noticed the resemblance. Valerie meeting with friends at Starbucks. Photo/CD Brown. She told us her name is 'Valerie', and to our surprise said no one had ever told her she looked like Gabby Giffords. "A younger Hillary [Clinton], but not Giffords", she said. "Oh, you do look like her!", exclaimed one of the women in her party, after making the connection. We as...

Secretary of State Annoyed With Benghazi Line of Questioning?

Oh, the difference between Eric Holder testifying on Capitol Hill about his role in the 'Fast and Furious' debacle that saw hundreds of guns enter the pipe line of illegal guns being sold on the US streets from Mexican drug cartel seizures, and today's testimony by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton . While Holder was timid, evasive and subdued Clinton, during one portion of the questioning today on the Benghazi event that killed a US Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, decided she'd had enough of the fervent bombardment and line of questioning from the GOP. Clinton confessed that she takes full responsibility for not providing the protection needed in the area on the day of September 11, 2012, the anniversary of the 911 attack here in the U.S. She refuted any claims that the administration gave false Intel into why the American people were told several different versions of exactly what happened during the Benghazi attack. Initially, US Ambass...
