Congressman Ellison Gets Emotional at Muslim Radicalization Hearing.

Peter King's (R-NY) (above) Muslim Radicalization Hearin g being held today to foster communication about the controversial Muslim faith, was full of emotion of those who testified. Among them, Minnesota congressman Keith Ellison. Watch the video here . The hearing continued to be a source of hot topic debate with both sides showing the pros and cons of the religious faith.   On one side the subject of Muslims is "the big elephant in the room", as stated by Melvin Bledsoe who's son was converted to the Muslim faith. He said Americans should become more aware of the homegrown terrorist Muslim groups. On the complete opposite side of the spectrum Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), called the profiling of Muslim Americans "an outrage".  On yesterday at the National Press Club in Washington, DC a response was held by those of the Muslim faith, in response to prior to King's hearing. -- Live video feed .

On The Same Day: Which One Is Authentic? Reclaiming the Dream, Or Restoring Honor.

Calling Out Glenn Beck. Fox News' Glenn Beck planned a rally at the Lincoln Memorial on the anniversary of Dr. King's I Have A Dream Speech. Can Someone Get This Guy Some Prozac? Beck Needs It. Beck claims he didn't plan to have his 'restore honor to America' rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on the 47th anniversary at the site of Dr. Martin Luther King's I Have a Dream Speech . Given the above facts, it sounds premeditated to me. Not only did he plan it, he orchestrated the event to the tea (literally), even to include King's neice, Dr. Alveda King.  At what other moment in time has Beck ever called on Dr. Alveda King?  I'll bet none.  To add insult to injury Beck has Sarah (I-can't-form-a-single-thought-in-my-head-everything-that-comes-out-my-mouth-makes-me-sound-like-an-idiot) Palin on the list as a speaker. What the world needs now:  Is NOT another Sarah Palin speech. Hey, Beck! If you want to restore 'honor' t...

Day of Religious Tolerance and Healing

President Obama's recent statement about a mosque at Ground Zero highlights the deep wounds that still exist between Christians and Muslims in America after September 11, 2001. "The 9/11 attacks were a deeply traumatic event for our country. The pain and suffering experienced by those who lost loved ones is unimaginable. So I understand the emotions that this issue engenders. Ground Zero is, indeed, hallowed ground", President Obama said. The president virtually gave the okay for the resurrection of a Muslim mosque near the site of Ground Zero. "But let me be clear: As a citizen and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country. That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances. This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable. The principle that people of ...
