Remarks by First Lady Michelle Obama at a Chicago DNC event

The first lady took to the heart the successes of her husband's tenure as president of the United States during a DNC event at Chicago Waldorf Historia hotel on Thursday in hopes encouraging Democratic supporters to get out and vote in the mid-term elections this November. In familiar wording, First Lady Obama lauded the latest employment numbers, the passing of the Affordable Care Act, jobs for veterans, and the number of children who, as a result of her own efforts with Let's Move,  are eating healthier. She said when she's asked if she still believes in the president's slogan of "hope" and "change" she says she tells people she believes it more strongly than ever before - "because I've seen it with my own eyes". Mrs. Obama  reminded the audience that despite her husband's accomplishments at the expense of the hard work of constituents like those in the audience, "there is still plenty of work to do", she said. President Obama Not Feeling Lifestyle of Kanye West, Kim Kardashian

Local Activists Not Impressed With Lifestyle of the Obamas President Obama has, once again, made his thoughts known about how he feels about Kanye West . One may recall Mr. Obama calling Kanye West "a jackass" while microphones were still running backstage after an Obama speaking event early during his first term as president. Now, the president, in an interview with Amazon.com is saying that to have the status of a Kanye West (and Kim Kardashian, the mother of West's infant daughter) isn't what America's kids should aspire to be. Really? Said President Obama, "The American Dream involved some pretty basic stuff. A good job where you felt some security. A good education. People felt if they worked hard they could get there. I don’t think people went around saying to themselves, ‘I need to have a 10,000-square-foot house I think, there has also been a shift in culture. We weren’t exposed to the things we didn’t have in the same way that kids th...

President Obama Slow Jams (The News)

Let's just say what you are about to see is more entertaining than than ANYTHING you've seen this week in entertainment news. President Obama's voice is at it again. Whether singing Al Green songs, or just speaking over (the right) music, he's an attention getter. Mitt Romney can't touch this. Don't even try it, Romney. Don't try to solicit the help of Wayne Newton, or The Boss (BS), or Willie Nelson, or Neil Diamond, or even Mick Jagger in your own sordid attempt to copy the president, as you've done so many times during your bid for candidacy. They wouldn't even have the same affect. Watch President Barack Obama slow jam (the news) on the Jimmy Fallon Show, which he appeared on this past Monday night. That is all. Oh, yeah. Tell Congress to keep student loans affordable.
