[Photo/Nuri Vallbona/for The Post/Reuters] Interesting news coming out today in the Washington Post that counters details originally given about former Vice President Dick Cheney who 'accidentally' shot his 'hunting buddy' while on a hunting trip on a private Texas ranch. Harry Whittington, an attorney, and formerly introduced as a long-time friend to Cheney, was shot by Cheney in 2006.  Whittington sustained a collapsed lung and underwent extensive surgery.  When the smoke cleared two hundred bits of shrapnel pierced Whittington's face, neck and chest. His face is scarred and about 30 pieces of shot are still deeply embedded in his body. Whittington, now 82, says he was barely an acquaintance of Cheney, and not a long-time friend. In 1998 Tutu, and his wife Leah, founded the Desmond Tutu Peace Centre, an organisation to encourage and inspire future generations to commit themselves to work for world peace.
