On Friday, the president and vice president held a rose garden event where the theme was to inform Americans that 'help is on the way'.  It is expected that stimulus checks will soon hit the bank accounts of Americans soon. House Majority  Leader Chuck Schumer said payments should arrive within weeks, while the president said payments may be in bank accounts by the weekend. (Certainly, Americans would prefer 'this weekend' rather than weeks.) Vice President Kamala Harris, also remarking during the ceremony, said  help has arrived . While praising the president for his leadership Harris said, "You had faith that Americans would support this plan."  Calling the plan 'concrete and tangible',  Harris said, "Americans will see what we did here and will feel the impact of this plan." It's a big ef**ng deal   Just as the Affordable Care Act was a ‘ big ef***ng dea l’ eleven years ago, March, 2010, President Joe Biden has just made a big deal of his own.  Biden’s American Rescue Plan legislation passed in the Senate on Wednesday. As the president travels to Europe this week, the press pool has offered interesting notes on signs from protestors gathered near the Bedminster golf course. Some of them waved at the pool as the vans drove by, or waved their signs. President Trump is expected to draw from the below list of candidates to replace Supreme Court Justice Kennedy who, last week, announced his retirement. Justice Kennedy is 81 years- old. The president is expected to make his official selection announcement on July 9th and has said to have narrowed his selection down to five. The Trump administration continues to institute policy that dehumanizes people fleeing refuge and asylum who want to enter the U.S.  More and more reports show gruesome,  terror-like practices at the Texas-Mexican border. Children, as young as one year-old, are being taken from their mothers. One reporter told of a child being ripped away from its mother as it was being nursed. Reporters took to the White House briefing room on Thursday to ask about such border practices and were met with a non-chalant, empathetic-less response from Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Brian Karem , Editor of The Montgomery County Sentinel , took Huckabee-Sanders (a parent of young children) to task asking her if she any "empathy" for what was happening to the children at the border.
